UPDATED MARCH 19, 2020 1. Living Hope LIVE In the midst of all of the angst, we had a historic Sunday as Living Hope went live on March 15. All the metrics point to the fact that many people worshipped with us. In fact, March 15 would have been one of the highest attended Sundays, if not the highest attended Sunday ever. Please note that KKC, KKJ & Catapult Live will begin at 10:40 this coming Sunday. If you were not able to join us for worship, please take a watch through the links below: Living Hope LIVE from March 15: https://youtu.be/MqMy2oEKnOI KKC LIVE from March 15: https://www.facebook.com/lhcc.KKC/videos/224409801947113/ KKJ LIVE from March 15: https://www.facebook.com/livinghopeccbrea/videos/205939044082320/ Not to be outdone, Catapult youth and R28 college also did some online teaching. Small Groups Many groups, including kids, youth, college and adults are connecting online which is a huge encouragement. If you or your children were not able to get into an online small group, please contact: Elizabeth Chung (elizabeth.chung@livinghopecc.org) - for KKC (K-5th grade) class Chris Li (chris.li@livinghopecc.org) - for 6th-12th grade cell group Harry Lee (harry.lee@livinghopecc.org) for college age Ben Tabbal (ben.tabbal@livinghopecc.org) for adults 3. Confusion surrounding the Orange County Order There was a bit of confusion because of an order that came out from Orange County on March 17 that would have prohibited any gathering of any size. On March 18, the county put out an order that clarified some of the confusion. We are still able to have essential staff and volunteers to stream our Sunday services. We are also still able to have Early Morning Prayer on Saturday mornings at 6:30 am together while practicing social distancing. 4. Living Hope Live Central We are revamping our Living Hope Live page (https://www.livinghopecc.org/live) so that we can have a central location for all of our online services and resources. It will also be a place where you will be able to ask for prayer, connect to a group or ask for counseling, give online, and ask for help for a person in need. In the meantime, you can still all those things: ask for prayer - Email Pastor Chris Chi (chris.chi@livinghopecc.org) connect to a group or ask for online counseling - Email Pastor Ben Tabbal (ben.tabbal@livinghopecc.org) give online - Go to https://livinghopecc.breezechms.com/give/online ask for help for a person in need - Email Michael Lee (Michael.lee@livinghopecc.org) UPDATED MARCH 18, 2020 The elders are aware of the Order put out by the Orange County Health Officer regarding gatherings of any size. We have consulted legal counsel for interpretation, have reached out for more clarification, looked at other cities/counties, and are awaiting an amended order from Orange County. We will wait for the amended order and adjust our operations according to the spirit and interpretation of the order as we understand them. We will keep everyone informed. Let's continue to "Be still and Know that [He is] God."
