Stuart and I always took them with us to the polls. My parents, first-generation Americans, always voted and always took us as kids to the polls with them. Now we may need a new ritual for mail-in voting, and I think we'll probably come up with one. But I can feel these moments, and at this season of the year, I know that my parents ended up in all of us.
