I'd asked you to turn with me this morning to Psalm chapter 91 song 91. I'd like to mention before we read that saw and hopefully consider that here together. This is certainly a new thing for us, for the church here in America, but God's people have been restricted from attending public worship for a multitude of different reasons throughout our history. And I think it's important to be reminded in revelation chapter one in verse 10, that John, even though he was isolated, he was isolated not to prevent the spread of a disease, but he was isolated because of him being imprisoned for preaching. The gospel.
John was isolated on the isle of Patmos, but he was in the spirit on the Lord's day. And do you know that it was when he was in the spirit on the Lord's day that he saw Jesus Christ in his miraculous glorified state. And that is when the Lord gave him these visions that we read about in the book of revelation. And then isn't that great to think about that? Even though John was by himself, he didn't have a platform like this that we have today, but even though John was by, excuse me, John was by himself. On the board's day, he had the ability to engage in worship and he felt the spirit of God. He felt the Holy spirit of God in his worship service on the Lord's day. And it was during that time period that the Lord gave him all of these miraculous visions that we read about and the book of revelation.
