We find ourselves right now in a moment of chaos, when all of the rules and structures that govern our lives, school and work and family gatherings have suddenly been swept away. We look at our lives and we see tofu, chaos, and disorder, and like God surveying the primordial mess. That PR that preceded creation. We know it is not good. This is a time when ritual comes in handy, not only the religious rituals of Shabbat or Passover, although we recommend those, but also the very basic rituals that help give order to our lives. If you look online, you'll find lots of advice about how to cope with our new reality. And it's all about ritual, set your alarm for the same time every day, change out of your nighttime pajamas into your daytime pajamas for work, create color coded schedules for your kids, otherwise free form days of homeschooling.
