“The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but He blesseth the habitation of the just.” (Proverbs 3:33). To the children of the devil, which group consists of most of mankind (including most people claiming to be Christians), we are currently displaying a sign at Westboro Baptist Church that says: “Coronavirus = wrath of God upon the disobedient! Repent? Ephesians 5:6”. “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things [i.e., fornication, uncleanness, covetousness, idolatry, and other proud sins] cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.” (Ephesians 5:6) Our message to you is that this is the wrath of a sovereign God being poured out upon you for your proud rebellion against God. God promised this to you in Deuteronomy 28: “If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, [even] great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. Also every sickness, and every plague, which [is] not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.” (Deuteronomy 28:58-61) Even if God has mercy on you and gives you a temporal blessing by allowing you to come out on the other end of this pandemic unscathed, He will turn that very blessing into a curse. As Malachi said to the false religious leaders of his day: “If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay [it] to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay [it] to heart.” (Malachi 2:2).
