“If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay [it] to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay [it] to heart.” (Malachi 2:2). Your refusal to give the glory to God in this matter will be exhibit A against you on the Day of Judgment. You have put your trust in transitory, uncertain things - the economy, the government, the medical system, etc. – and you are watching them fail. You are witnessing how easy it is for God to completely undo you, and you realize how swiftly and easily the events recorded in the Revelation will come to pass.
