God's Hope in the COVID-19 Crisis
Description
Our world is traumatized right now. And even as a Christian, you may be going through trauma as a result of everything going on. In most cases, trauma, clinically is overwhelming and it exceeds your normal coping mechanisms. In other words, when you go through a tough time in life, you know, there's different things that you can do, whether it's go for a walk or get together with some friends, but when trauma hits you, it oftentimes can completely overwhelm what you would normally cope with and how you would normally cope. It disrupts a lot of things. Trauma can disrupt your trust. Right now. We don't know who to trust. We're here in different reports. Don't know who to believe. Trauma, especially in the coronavirus crisis impacts our control any sense that we have any control over what happens during the next hour has been completely ripped out from under us. Right now, we're all learning this in an unusual way. It affects your relationships. Trauma does. You're not able to go visit with some family members or friends because of restrictions that the government has put in place. Trauma affects your work and your finances. I mentioned that a little bit earlier. I know many of you right now are wondering how you're going to make ends meet. Even with governments talking about financial aid, still, you're not working. There's no income. A trauma can disrupt your faith. We're seeing that is we're not able to gather together in church like we're used to trauma disrupts your health.
