But maybe this is a moment to envision something new, to embrace something new that is grounded, not in the ephemeral things that are out there, but in the only truth that will see us through the only light that will shine in the darkness. The only hope we can hold onto as we move forward, that out of love comes life, not at death, but right now we don't have to wait until we die to know if it's true because we've seen it in front of us. The risen Christ is at work in this world. Through us. God shows up when we do, we are the body of Christ for this world, friends and make no mistake. There is a scared hurting, broken world out there, stuck in their homes, longing for someone to show up and to point them in the way of life to the way of life. The good news is we have it. We know it.
