In Luke 13, Jesus said, ‘Do you think because some Galileans suffered they were worse sinners than all other Galileans? Or the eighteen who died when the tower of Siloam fell—do you think they were worse sinners than all the others living in Jerusalem? No, I tell you! But unless you repent, you will all perish just as they did.’” Jesus was clear: there is no cause and effect relationship between sin and suffering.
