And this kind of very explicit Exodus chapter 14, verse 10. And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes and behold, the Egyptians and the sea. These are the people that they are running from. And it says in marched after them and they were, and what is the next word say, sore afraid. So here are the Egyptians here. The Israelites are, and they're completely terrified because the addictions are coming right after them. Put that right there. On one side, they were afraid. They experienced fear. They were, this is where the word says they were sore afraid. And the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord, verse 11. And they said unto Moses, because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness. Wherefore Hass out, dealt thus with us to carry us forth out of Egypt. Now I've, I've read that verse hundreds of times over the course of my now 56 years on this earth. And I never really caught it until I was doing some studying on this one. And I didn't realize this, but there, there is. There, there, there are there studies articles out there about Egypt that they put aside anywhere Between one fourth and three, The borders of their land for graves. Okay. If Egypt was known for anything, it was known for graves. So this verse is actually dripping with sarcasm. So they're sitting there. They, they they're, they're free. Pharaoh comes on up to him. And so they're saying to Moses, Hey man, weren't there enough graves? And that's like saying, are there not enough pine trees? And the city of there's plenty of graves in Egypt. That's what they're known for. And so the bit that Israelites are getting all upset with Moses, because now that they're experiencing a little bank anxiety, they're sitting there thinking, you know what? I wish things would just go back to normal. I wish we'd just go back to the way that we knew things. graves', that's what Israel was, what Egypt was known for. And here's the thing. When you feel afraid, when you feel anxious, when you feel scared, you begin to crave the familiar, even at the familiar Killing you in Egypt, who was killing them, Egypt was killing them. And on one hand, they're crying out, you know, get us out of here. We'll go anywhere. We'll do anything, John Lord just make it stick.
