We hope that this email finds you well, and that your children are acclimating to the new
school year safely.
We are so thankful to Hashem for providing us with a safe and healthy 2020 summer season,
and the incredible experience we were able to have. With summer behind us, we now have
the time to reflect on what made this summer so special and successful, as we begin
preparing for Summer 2021.
For over 95 years, Camp Dora Golding has provided a wholesome and meaningful summer for
thousands of campers. Every year, we strive to get better and better and improve every
facet of our program to provide the best quality summer.
This past summer, camp was amazing for so many reasons. One of the primary reasons was
the fact that every camper arrived on the same day, spent 5 ½ weeks together, and left on
the final day with memories to last a lifetime. This past summer did not see a “changeover
day” mid-summer, which allowed for a seamless camp experience, and helped maintain
positive bunk dynamics throughout the entire season. Additionally, the 5 ½ week session was
the perfect amount of time to allow campers to forge new friendships and meaningful
relationships, instill confidence, build character, and leave camp with an inspiring, uplifting
and enjoyable summer. Of course many of our campers wanted to stay longer, and we know
they would stay in camp all year if they could!
In 2020, we Baruch Hashem ran a successful covid free camp in a protective bubble. One of
the many ways we were successful, was avoiding new campers and staff to enter the camp
mid-summer. While none of us want to think this will be around next summer, it is something
that needs to be kept in mind. In the event that this coming summer chas v’shalom would
require a single “bubble” session, this new schedule as detailed below, will give us the ability

In light of all this, we are excited to announce the following two options for Summer 2021
registration:
OPTION ONE: 5 1/2 Weeks
Camp Dora Golding: Monday, June 28 – Wednesday, August 4
Camp Dina: Tuesday, June 29 – Thursday, August 5
OPTION TWO: 7 1/2 Weeks
Camp Dora Golding: Monday, June 28 – Wednesday, August 18
Camp Dina: Tuesday, June 29 – Thursday, August 19
My child is experiencing camp for the first time. Is 5 ½ weeks too long?
This past summer has proven that 5 ½ weeks is the perfect amount of time, especially for a
first time camper, to get adjusted to camp life, develop relationships with counselors,
create lifelong friendships, and take advantage of everything that our camp has to offer.
This schedule also allows for ONE visiting day in the middle of the summer. Additionally, 5 ½
weeks still leaves the opportunity for campers to attend a local sports program or go on a
family vacation after camp.
Do I need to apply right now?
We have reserved until September 17, as priority early registration for returning campers
and their siblings. After that time, registration will be open to the public on a first come
first serve basis. If you do not register before the above date and there is no space
available, your application may be declined.
My child was registered for last summer but was unable to come and I have a credit on
my account, are we automatically registered for 2021?
No, every camper needs to fill out a new application. Your credit will be used as the deposit
and no further payment will be due at this time. Campers that were registered to come for
2020, but were unable to join us, are still considered returning campers and have their space
reserved until September 17.
My child was never in camp before and I don’t want to get locked out. When can we
apply?
You can apply now! We will not be able to confirm your registration until after September
17, but the earlier you apply, the higher up on this list you will be!
