About KAHAL

KAHAL is an international Jewish not-for-profit that aspires to provide young people studying, working or traveling abroad each year with the resources, tools, and connections they need to meaningfully engage in global Jewish exchange. In doing so, they deepen their Jewish identity during one of the most important, meaningful, and enduring experiences of their lives.

About the Project

The Global Jewish Legacy Project was born out of a desire to provide an opportunity for students and young adults to reflect and journal their experiences and feelings, increasing the sense of global Jewish community for these students with the understanding that reflection can be a powerful tool. We hope Jewish young people will be able to compare their experiences, learn what has worked for others, what has been most difficult for others, how their Jewish communities have been affected and their outlook on the future.

I’m not a student or young adult - how can I contribute?
Firstly, we aren’t “assessing” eligibility, so if you feel like you have a relevant story to tell, feel free to contribute.
Otherwise, the best way to help is by circulating this to your student and young adult community members and encouraging them to submit!

For any questions, thoughts or comments, please contact KAHAL Director of Abroad Experiences, Joey Leskin, on joey@kahalabroad.org.

KAHAL would like to thank Rebecca Spagnoletto and Hannah Ehlers for their indispensable work on this project.
